Giving thanks....
Last night we spent 15 minutes praying as a group. Many will say that their trip to Mexico has made them more thankful for what they have... But what is th thankfulness if we do not express it to the Lord.
A few things we came up with we would specifically like to give thanks for.
- Safe travel in all that could have gone wrong but didn't
- Liz and all getting through the checkpoint unscathed
- Just the ability for all of us to get the funds to get down here
- The Mexicans that help us work(most patients of Piedra Viva) wanting to turn to the Lord in the midst of their greatest struggle.
- Things coming together at literally the last minute for the purchase of a large bus.
- The strength (inner and personal) to complete such great works in so little time (construction)
- Thanks specifically for the families that came up and dedicated themselves to the Lord in the camps.
- Specifically for Rudy, Djose, Juanita and Lisa in their ministries.
- For the leadership of Pastor Kiki whose heart is broken for those in need of recovery...
- For the health and well-being of the children at the Casa. The Lord protects them, heals them, and provides for them everyday.
Philippians 4:6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
In Christ,
Billy

Hey, we all got back without a problem. No problemos at the border. Wish we could be there to help continue to work this week. Will be praying for a fruitful and exciting week.
Julie, if you get a chance, get more info on how to make tortilla dough. I tried to make tortillas last night and it didn't go very well-the dough didn't look right and didn't roll out easily and didn't cook the same. Maybe ask Juanita and/or Sonya for more specifics...
Thanks Billy for all the updates and work you have done on the site.

Billy,
Thanks for the work on the blog and we are really enjoying it back here in Tacoma. It is great, especially compared to previous years. Don't let anyone's complaints get you down, we have loved this! We support you and look foward to seeing you.
One more thing, the remaining 18 to 20-Somethings need to pool there remaining loose change (no extra) on the drive up and see what cool item can be brought back for the group. It has to be bought at the border. Our van got a cool item for you to see, and we will see how good you do! It was hillarious...
Hey Billy, Awesome job on the blog! Tell Laura I so sorry I missed her phone call and am looking forward to her and all of you getting back! It sounds like God is doing an total work through all the workers down there... It is very exciting to see the synergy and lives being touched. Keep up the good work and tell Laura to bring us some vanilla home if she can! Love to you all... The Tibbitts
