Update... Construction

Hello again,

Construction is comming along very quickly in the church. I have to give special thanks for the Mexicans here that have worked tirelessly to teach us and join us in our efforts. As of right now there are about 5 locals here that have helped to bring us up to speed on or projects. In fact, many of them are workers and successes from Piedra Viva (the rehab center) in town.

I realize that at time we as Americans can get frusterated easily, especially when there are langauge barriers, but we have worked to overcome those with the patience of the people here. All are willing to learn through equal amounts of love, patience, and respect (my Spanish vocab has doubled as well as Carlos' English vocab) so those many things that seemed daunting can be accomplished.

On just the third day out we have managed to pour the header for the next floor of the church as well as prepare Rudy's house for electrical work. (Rudy and his wife Dijose have been so humble as they set aside their own needs to help the children here. We have worked a bit on their house as a "Thank You" for their love and support for our church)

Tonight we are even having a fiesta for the town, the church and the children at Casa del Pastor!
Pray that this goes well as it is our chance to show the love of Christ to the people of this town.

In Christ,

Billy
